Atomic Shipping & Trading was set up by Mr Yukio Koga in 1991, who has been in the business since the mid 1970’s.
The Singapore government launched a chemical hub project including construction of an ethylene cracker facility on Pulau Ayer Merbau with an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons in collaboration with a Japanese consortium (Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore). The plant was completed and started operations in early 1980’s with logistic support from a joint venture of three Japanese and Singaporean shipping companies providing transportation of ethylene raw material (naphtha) and by-products (benzene, toluene, xylene) to neighboring countries. The company was committed to developing an extensive logistic network for the transportation of chemical products across the ASEAN countries.
In 1999, ATOMIC SYSTEM & DESIGN was formed by Mr Koga with a local partner to diversify its business by providing value-added services for integrated circuits (ICs) and related devices to companies worldwide, serving mainly Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Semiconductor Manufacturers and Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) providers in the electronics industry.
Over the years, the company has been recognized for its service & quality, price competitiveness, prompt delivery and support. It was awarded ISO 9001 certification in 2000 and is constantly improving, setting them apart from competitors and making a reliable programming partner in IC programming services.
