Atomic Shipping & Trading was established in 1991 by Mr. Yukio Koga, a seasoned professional in the industry since the mid-1970s.
The Singapore government initiated a chemical hub project, incorporating the construction of an ethylene cracker facility on Pulau Ayer Merbau with an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons. This venture, in collaboration with a Japanese consortium, specifically the Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore, saw the completion of the plant in the early 1980s.
A joint venture comprised of three Japanese and Singaporean shipping companies provided logistical support, facilitating the transportation of ethylene raw material (naphtha) and by-products (benzene, toluene, xylene) to neighboring countries.
Committed to establishing an extensive logistic network, the company focused on chemical product transportation across ASEAN countries.
In 1999, Mr. Koga, along with a local partner, founded ATOMIC SYSTEM & DESIGN to diversify business operations by offering value-added services for integrated circuits (ICs) and related devices globally. The company primarily serves Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Semiconductor Manufacturers, and Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) providers in the electronics industry. Recognized for its service quality, competitive pricing, prompt delivery, and support, the company obtained ISO 9001 certification in 2000, distinguishing itself from competitors and establishing its reputation as a reliable IC programming partner.
In 2022, the company achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification, highlighting its ongoing efforts to safeguard and secure its information system. This commitment to continuous improvement reinforces its position as a trusted and secure partner in IC programming services.
In 2023, Yokohama (Japan) office was set up to facilitate transfer businesses to South East Asia and support Japanese customers in region.
